Man United U19s win Indoor Tournement
There is a lot of hype and excitement surrounding the next generation of players coming through the Manchester United academy, and the U19s have now added to that hype by winning the Sparkasse & VGH Cup five-a-side tournament in Germany.
The novel 5-a-side tournament was essentially futsal-based, and United’s youngsters proved their skills by winning the tournament in an epic penalty shootout finale.
Angel Gomes sparkles, Whelan goes in goal
Angel Gomes is probably the biggest star of the side, and he lived up to his billing with some brilliant performances – you can’t miss him, he’s the one with the massive afro hairstyle.
And there were epic scenes at the end as Callum Whelan was forced to go in goal following Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui’s injury.
