Alvaro Morata slams his own performance v Stoke (Video)

Stoke 0 – Chelsea 4

If anyone thought the Premier League title race was a battle between Manchesters United and City, Chelsea made sure to redress the balance on Saturday.

Chelsea, the reigning EPL champs, put in a superb performance winning 4-0 at Stoke.

Stoke have already beaten Arsenal and drawn with Man United at the Bet365 Stadium this season.

But the Potters were well beaten by the Blues.

Alvaro Morata was the Chelsea hero with a hat-trick, while Pedro Rodriguez also got on the scoresheet.

Happy for the win, for the goals… Thank you everyone and a special thanks to @cesarazpi. Happy!! ⚽️😃

Alvaro Morata after Stoke

Spanish striker Alvaro Morata gave an interview after the game.

First off, Morata’s English was hugely impressive. Despite being in England just a couple of months, the 24-year-old has an excellent control of the language.

When it came to talking about the game, Morata noted that Chelsea’s result showed their title ambitions.

But when it came to his own hat-trick shift, Morata was critical of himself.

Rather than celebrating his three goals, he focused on two chances which he missed the match.
