Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal’s main man
There’s been a lot of noise around Alexis Sanchez of late; his contract situation is the elephant in the Arsenal room this season.
The Chilean has been Arsenal’s best player this season, and their top 4 hopes rest largely on his shoulders.
But his contract situation is becoming a big distraction, and Gooners are starting to fret that they could lose their best player unless the club’s hierarchy meets his wage demands.
Like Mesut Ozil, Sanchez’s current deal runs out at the end of next season, but Arsenal fans are much more worried about their Chilean start than their German one.
Because even when he’s off form, Sanchez never gives anything less than 100% – and we saw further evidence of that during yesterday’s game against Manchester City.
Calls on teammates to celebrate together
When Shkodran Mustafi scored Arsenal’s 2nd equalizer in the 2nd half, half of the players ran to the corner flag to celebrate with the German.
But the other half showed no interest in celebrating as a team, and ran back to the halfway line – much to the chagrin of Sanchez, who ripped into those who’d ran away and beckoned them over.
