Trying too har
The FA Cup is often a chance for so called fringe players to get some game time.
That’s exactly what Chelsea boss Antonio Conte decided to do for their tie against Peterborough, and put Kurt Zouma, John Terry and Michy Batshuayi in the side.
The forward has been linked with a move away from the club, and could well be going out on loan – and it was evident that the player was desperate to score.
He was accused of being selfish before finally getting his goal – and of course people on Twitter had plenty to say about it.
The best of Twitter
He came in for some stick at first…
Batshuayi is just too greedy. He showed that with the U23's and I thought it might be different in the first team.

This Batshuayi performance reminds me of Schurrle after he came back from illness. Trying way too hard and making poor decisions as a result

Someone explain to Batshuayi that there is glory in the assist as well. You don't have to try and score yourself every time.

Michy Batshuayi is fraud. £33million fraud.

Now I see why batshuayi is always on the bench even when Costa is suspended…

Batshuayi is soooo DESPARATE for a goal
And then he scored…
People going on in my TL for Batshuayi shooting. Yall know this is a 3rd round FA Cup match right? Settle down

Clearly, well deserved. Batshuayi has been trying hard to break loose, that goal would build him more confidence up front.
