Marc Bartra has penned an extremely emotional Instagram post after the bomb attack in Dortmund on Wednesday left him in the hospital.
The Spaniard was the only player harmed in the explosion and was transported to the hospital to have surgery on an arm injury.
The attack came prior to Borussia Dortmund‘s fixture with AS Monaco, which was eventually played 24 hours later after the attack.
Now, Bartra has moved to get his feelings off his chest in one powerful and emotional message.
In it, he discusses the panic and confusion during the attack, extends his thanks to fans, the club and more as well as looking to the future.
The most powerful sentence of the post comes as he reveals that he feels pride when he looks down at his injury.
“These days when I look at my wrist, swollen and badly wound, you know what I feel? Pride,” he explained.
“I look at her proudly, thinking that all the damage they wanted to do to us on Tuesday, stayed in this.”

Emotional Nuri Sahin
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin was seen taking part in a very emotional interview after the Monaco clash.
The interview just shows how little time the players were given to overcome the terror attack and it truly showed.
