VIDEO: Manchester United striker Dimi Berbatov scores a brace for Bulgaria in Malta

Malta 1 - Bulgaria 4 (International Friendly, November 18, 2009) Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov scored twice to become Bulgaria’s all-time leading goalscorer, but Bulgaria were made to sweat longer than the scoreline suggests for a 4-1 win away to Malta. Valeri Bojinov’s fifth minute strike saw the visitors to halftime with a 1-nil advantage, but Michael Mifsud levelled just a minute after the break.  It remained level until the final quarter-hour, when Berbatov struck either side of Blagoy Georgiev’s goal as in the end Bulgaria ran out comfortable winners.
