Debrecen 0 - Liverpool 1 (Champions League, November 24, 2009) It took Liverpool just over three minutes to take the lead in Hungary, a short corner was whipped in by Aurelio towards Carragher at the back stick, the centre half headed the ball back across goal and David Ngog flicked out a leg to turn the ball home. In the 37th minute Ngog came close to a second, seeing his 25-yard effort turned aside by the Debrecen keeper Poleksic.
Arsenal 2 - Standard Liege 0 (Champions League, November 24, 2009) Ten minutes before the break Arsenal struck, a long Vermaelen ball from the back bounced just outside the Liege box, Landry Mulemo slipped and Samir Nasri was quick on the scene to pounce. The Gunners doubled their lead just before the halftime whistle as Denilson let rip with a beauty from 30-yards that whizzed into the Belgians’ net. Standard’s Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez saw red late on for a headbutt on Cesc Fabregas.
Fiorentina 1 - Lyon 0 (Champions League, November 24, 2009) Fiorentina twice hit the post in the opening stages against Lyon, but the Italians eventually broke the deadlock as Marchionni fell in the French box before Juan Vargas swept home that resultant spot-kick.

It is clear (or at least it should be) that Rafa Benitez should be made to leave: if he does not walk on his own. This once he SHOULD be made to walk alone. If the man has no honour left - and it certainly seems that way - there is no reason why Liverpool FC should act in an honourable way toward him. With the money at his disposal, he should have won the Premier League and the Champions League long ago - the Champions League Liverpool FC won in 2005 was won by the team Gerrard Houllier built.
