Arsenal 0 - Chelsea 3 (Premier League, November 29, 2009) (MOTD highlights here.) Samir Nasri fired a low shot down the throat of Petr Cech after 20 minutes of the London derby, but it was Chelsea who struck first minutes before the break as Ashley Cole delivered a perfect cross for Didier Drogba who steered the ball into the far top corner. In the 44th minute Arsenal shot themselves in the foot as a dangerous left-wing cross from Ashley Cole was turned into his own net by Thomas Vermaelen. Manuel Almunia had to react quickly to turn aside a Drogba shot which deflected off Frank Lampard’s chest early in the second half, and five minutes from time Didier Drogba wrapped up yet another comfortable Chelsea win with a sublime free-kick.
Everton 0 - Liverpool 2 (Premier League, November 29, 2009) (MOTD highlights here.) After a scrappy opening to the Merseyside derby, Argentine holding-man Javier Mascherano found himself able to have a pop from 20-yards and his shot took a wicked deflection off Yobo to wrongfoot Howard in the Everton goal. Everton the had two goal chalked off, saw Riena make numerous wonder saves, only for Yobo to screw up ten minutes from time that allowed Riera to fire on target and Dirk Kuyt tucked in the rebound.
Wolves 0 - Birmingham 1 (Premier League, November 29, 2009) Lee Bowyer was again the match winner for Birmingham, the midfielder curling a fabulous shot past a helpless Marcus Hahnemann after only three minutes.

Kettering 1 - Leeds 1 (FA Cup second round, November 29, 2009) Skipper Ian Roper’s 63rd-minute header had put the Poppies on course for a famous FA Cup giant killing but Jermaine Beckford pounced from close range in the 77th minute to earn the runaway League One leaders a replay.
