West Brom 0 – Zlatan Ibrahimovic 2
Before Saturday’s match at the Hawthorns, the following type of comment was doing the rounds.
Man United had won their last two games on the bounce, but an away trip to West Brom, who had seen Salomon Rondon score a hat-trick in midweek, would be the acid test.
If that was the case, then Jose Mourinho’s side passed with flying colours.
The Red Devils won 2-0 against the Baggies, they looked in control of the game for large parts, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was fantastic.
Zlatan is on fire
The 35-year-old Swedish star broke the deadlock in the first half.
With five minutes gone, Manchester United put a great move together, Antonio Valencia played a long ball over the top for Jesse Lingard to run onto.
Lingard put in a delightful cross for Zlatan and Ibrahimovic just does not miss chances like this.
Ibra double United’s lead in the second half when Wayne Rooney found him on the edge of the box on the left hand side, Zlatan cut infield on his right, and he fired a low shot in the far corner.
Zlatans two goals sparked an outpouring of love for the Man United forward.
He’s now scored 34 goals in 33 league games in 2016, and 9 goals in his last 9 games for Man United across all competitions.
Moreover, many have taken the opportunity to think about those who wrote Zlatan off when he moved to the Premier League in the summer.

Guys like Lukaku, Giroud, and Rondon score regularly in the PL, but people thought Zlatan would struggle. Learn the game.

Remember those heady days when Rooney couldn't kick snow off a rope, Pogba was a fraud, Jose insane, and Zlatan was past it.
