Top 10 Goals of the Week

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

This week we only have one dumbass video to show you, and it has to be one of the most retarded bookings likely to be seen this season. Congratulations, party-boy Ronaldinho.

Playing against Parma on Saturday night, the bucked-toothed wonder tried to do his team a service by collecting a new ball as Milan won a throw-in. The only problem was that the Rossoneri’s Luca Antonini was even quicker in restarting proceedings, and the number 77 quickly took the throw-in when Dinho’s back was turned. Once facing the pitch, the Samba star realised what had happened, but instead of turfing the ball from where it came from, Ronaldinho dumped the ball on the pitch and tried to get involved in the play.

Unsurprisingly, the referee was far from amused at having two balls now on the playing field and, after walking up to the number 80 to come nose-to-nose with the playmaker, the man in black booked Ronaldinho for stupidity.

Onto the list, where there has been yet another fabulous collection of strikes over the pasty seven days.

Super strikes from distance include goals 1, 3 and 10, while goal four brings back memories of Zindane Zidane’s Champions League cracker against Bayer Levekusen.

Finesse is satisfied by goal 9, a solo stunner can be found at goal 5, while a couple of brilliant scissor-kicks can be located at positions 6 and 7.

That leaves two - an outrageous overhead-kick at goal 2 and a textbook overhead-stunner at number 8.

As always, all we ask is that you sit back and enjoy!

1. Emiliano Insua (Arsenal v Liverpool, Oct. 28, 2009)

2. Keita Sugimoto (Nagoya Grampus Eight v Al-Ittihad, Oct. 28, 2009)

3. Abderrazzak Jadid (Reggina v Salernitana, Oct. 31, 2009)

4. Toni Kroos (Schalke v Bayer Leverkusen, Oct. 31, 2009)

9. Alex (Spartak Moscow v Rostov, Nov. 1, 2009)

10. Giuseppe Mascara (Fiorentina v Catania, Nov. 1, 2009)

***

Narrowly missing the list were goals from Fran Merida, Fernando Torres, Milos Ninkovic and Denny Landzaat.
