Two quick videos to bring you from last weekend’s action in Spain.
First, the Segunda Division meeting between Rayo Vallecano and Elche opened with a comical, but strangely not that uncommon, goal from home keeper David Cobeno Iglesias (pictured). Collecting the ball in his own penalty area, Iglesias launched a kick up-field only for his punt to end up in the back of the net after poor judgment from the Elche shot-stopper.
Saluting yet another scoring goalie, David Cobeno Iglesias’ goal against Elche can be seen here.

Second, a wonderful clip of a Spanish referee committing a horrible foul in open play in the crucial playoff match between Segunda Division B, Group 2 rivals, CD Alcoyano and FC Cartagena. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you too much about the the incident, except that the official could potentially have been sent off for a professional foul.
The fouling referee can be seen here.
