Siena 0 - Juventus 1 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) Amuari rose between two markers to head home a Diego free-kick in the 72nd minute to break the deadlock after the Turin side had struggled to pose a threat for much of the match.
Fiorentina 0 - Napoli 1 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) A late goal by Christian Maggio gave the full three points to Napoli, who had missed a penalty just minutes before as Fabio Quagliarella saw his pot kick save by Frey.
Roma 0 - Livorno 1 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) A fierce strike into the Roma near post from Francesco Tavano fired Livorno into a surprise halftime lead in the capital.
Bari 2 - Lazio 0 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) Barreto timed his run to perfection to fire Bari in the lead against Lazio. Riccardo Meggiorini swept in number two to seal the win in the second half.
Cagliari 3 - Genoa 2 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) Genoa’s Giandomenico Mesto saw his 20th minute free-kick deflect off the Cagliari wall as the visitors’ took the lead. Davide Biondini levelled the scores early in the second half, only for Sergio Floccari to restore Genoa’s lead four minutes later. Cagliari secured all three points with goals from Anderson Miguel Nene, from the penalty spot on 79, and substitute Andrea Lazzari three minutes from time.
Atalanta 3 - Parma 1 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) A late first half penalty from Valdes put Atalanta in the lead against Parma, and an early second half header from Simone Tiribocchi doubled the hosts lead. Alberto Paloschi brought Parma back in the match with 13 minutes to go only for Federico Peluso to killed off the visitors with Atalanta’s third.
Palermo 1 - Udinese 0 (Serie A, October 25, 2009) Palermo left it late to beat Udinese at Renzo Barbera when defender Cesare Bovo’s snatched the only goal of the game in the 87th minute to move the hosts up to fifth.
