About Javier Pastore
Javier Pastore was born on 20 June 1989 in Cordoba, Argentina. He plays as an attacking midfielder for Argentina and Paris Saint-Germain.
Pastore began his youth career at Tallares in 2002. He made his professional debut in 2007. He made just five appearances for the club before being loaned out to Huracan in 2008.
On 11 July 2009, Pastore signed for Palermo for a fee of €4.7 million. He made his debut on 15 August 2009 in the Coppa Italia. Pastore spent two seasons with the club, scoring 17 goals and racking up 12 assists. He was named Serie A Young Footballer of the Year in 2010.
On 6 August 2011, Pastore signed for Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €39.8 million. He scored his first Ligue 1 goal on 11 September 2011 in a 1-0 win over Stade Brest. In the 2014-15 season, Paris Saint-Germain won the treble, taking Pastore’s trophy count with the club to eight. That season he was also named in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year,
Pastore made his Argentina debut on 25 May 2010 in a friendly against Canada and was included in Maradona’s 23-man squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He was left out of the Argentina squad that reached the final of the 2014 World Cup but was recalled to the side that reached the final of the 2015 Copa America.
