Isco was born on 21 April 1992 in Benalmadena, Spain. He plays as an attacking midfielder for Spain and Real Madrid.
Isco joined Valencia’s youth academy in 2006. He made over 50 appearances for their B side before making his debut with the first team on 11 November 2010, scoring two goals in a Copa del Rey match against UD Logrones.
Isco signed for Malaga in July 2011 for a fee of €6 million. He scored his first goal for the club on 21 November 2011 in a 3-1 win over Racing Santander. In 2012, Isco won the Golden Boy Award and was named La Liga’s Breakthrough Player.
After helping Spain win the 2013 European U21 Championship, where he won the Bronze Boot and was named in the Team of the Tournament, Isco signed for Real Madrid for a fee of €30 million.
In his first season with the club, Isco won the Champions League and Copa del Rey, following that up with UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup wins in 2014.
Isco made his debut for the Spanish senior side on 6 February 2013 in a 3-1 win over Uruguay. He was, however, omitted from Spain’s 2014 World Cup squad. Isco scored his first international goal on 15 November 2014 in a Euro 2016 qualifying win over Belarus.
