Raymond Verheijen berates Arsenal manager’s training methods for Aaron Ramsey’s injury

Dutch coach Raymond Verheijen is making a comeback as Arsenal’s biggest critic.

Last year he became Twitter famous for berating the training methods of Manchester United manager David Moyes.

Arsene Wenger has been his target over the past couple of days, after yesterday coming out and blaming the veteran Arsenal manager for the injury problems of Alexis Sanchez.

Former Wales assistant coach Raymond Verheijen later claimed that Arsenal must change their training methods or Aaron Ramsey must leave.

The Welsh midfielder had to come off during a narrow win over Leicester, suffering his third hamstring injury of the season.

“There are two solutions. Either Arsenal sort themselves out or Aaron has to go to a club… where training is more balanced,” said Verheijen.

“It’s one or the other. The medical staff can only cure the problem but football coaches cause the problem because they are responsible for football training sessions.”

Ramsey is expected to be out for a number of weeks after he came off injured just 9 minutes after coming on as a substitute.

Arsene Wenger confirms injuries to Alexis Sanchez & Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal secured a much needed win over Leicester on Tuesday night – thanks to first half goals from Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott.

Andrej Kramaric pulled one back for Leicester but Arsenal held firm to grab all three points and to bounce back from the defeat at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

However, victory came at a cost with injuries to last season’s star player and also to 2014/2015’s best performer.

Both Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez picked up knocks which could see them add to a lengthening injury list at the Emirates.

Ramsey came on for the final 17 minutes and is understood to have picked up his third hamstring injury of the season.

Sanchez started after missing the defeat at Spurs, but came off on 68 with a knock to the knee.

Jamie Carragher slams Arsenal players “nonsense” on social media after win at Man City

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville were analysing the weekend’s Premier League football on last night’s Monday Night Football show.

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher found a way to slam Arsenal despite their brilliant display at the Etihad on Sunday.

Arsenal were dominant in a surprise 2-0 win but Carragher was certainly not impressed by the post match celebrations on social media.

Aaron Ramsey posted a photo with his topless Arsenal teammates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Olivier Giroud and Per Mertesacker to the disgust of Jamie Carragher.

“It’s winding me up, it’s an absolute joke,” said Carragher.

“It was one giant going to another giant. Of course celebrate, but it’s nonsense, all of these team pics in dressing rooms. Normally, you have them with a cup! It’s nonsense, and they need to stop doing it.”

He bantered off the Arsenal fans by uploading the picture above to Twitter after the game.

Aaron Ramsey posts a celebratory topless team photo from Arsenal dressing room [Tweet]

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey impressed alongside Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin in the heart of the midfield today.

The Welshman took to Twitter after the 2-0 win at Manchester City to praise the “great team effort” of his teammates.

Ramsey claimed everyone worked their socks off and uploaded a (largely topless) picture with some of his teammates.

Feeling inadequate next to Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey elected to keep his Arsenal shirt on for the photo.

The surprise win at Manchester City saw Arsenal rise to 5th with Man City now 5 points off top-of-the-table Chelsea.

Aaron Ramsey says Santi Cazorla was “different class” after 2-0 Arsenal win at Man City [Video]

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla was everywhere as the Gunners pulled off an unexpected 2-0 win at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

The 30 year old Spaniard was handed the Man of the Match award by Welsh teammate Aaron Ramsey in the post match interview.

After speaking about the importance of defending today, Ramsey rightly described Cazorla as “different class”.

The 2-0 win takes Arsenal back into 5th, leapfrogging rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the process.

Santi Cazorla’s impressive recent displays will leave Wenger wondering whether he is able to bring Mesut Ozil back into the starting XI.

Aaron Ramsey pays touching tribute to Lukas Podolski on Instagram

Lukas Podolski didn’t make his presence felt on the football pitch during his time at Arsenal.

However, as Aaron Ramsey puts it, the changing room will be a lot quieter now that the Germany international has gone on loan to Inter Milan.

The loan move will give Podolski the chance to prove his critics wrong and confirm that he is a top class attacker.

Although this Instagram post is a little melancholic, if the social media friendly forward thrives in Italy then Ramsey will play with his buddy again next season.

Arsene Wenger rules Aaron Ramsey out of Newcastle, could be out until New Year with hamstring [Video]

It never ends.

After looking like he was just about to hit top form with his two goal salvo at Galatasaray on Tuesday night, Aaron Ramsey has been dealt a fresh injury blow.

Arsene Wenger confirmed that the Welshman is out of tomorrow’s game with Newcastle with a hamstring problem, though he couldn’t say just how long it will be just yet.

The Mirror appear to be privy to that information, though, and claim that Rambo will be out until the New Year, which would be a massive blow given the congested festive period.

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey shouts out Yaya Sanogo on Twitter for priceless reaction to Gala golazo

Yaya Sanogo’s reaction to Aaron Ramsey’s stunning golazo at Galatasaray last night was simply priceless; he actually looked in a state of shock, and a little scared.

After the game, Rambo watched the goal back, and saw what everyone was talking about: Sanogo’s look of sheer disbelief, and the Welsman gave him a shout out on Twitter, as well as Podolski for his brilliant brace.

Aaron Ramsey says Galatasaray goal wasn’t his greatest before changing his mind after watching it [Video]

After his howitzer against Galatasaray last night, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey shocked Sky Sports with his subdued reaction to the goal, declining to rank it as his best ever.

The Welsh midfielder said that he preferred his, admittedly brilliant, thumping hit against Norwich in May.

But the sweetly struck first time half-volley with his left foot was an extraordinary pop shot and Ramsey soon came to his senses after seeing the goal on tape!

He said: “Yeah, I’ve seen it back and it’s definitely the best goal I’ve scored. I thought it was a lot closer on the pitch but yeah, I can confirm that it’s best goal I’ve ever scored.”

Arsenal got back to winning ways on Tuesday night in the Champions League with a fine 4-1 away win at Galatasaray, with the moment of the match belonging to Gunners midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Building on his goal at Stoke last weekend in the league, Ramsey added a double in Turkey including a long range thunderbolt that left everyone in shock.

Undoubtedly, however, the most surprised reaction to Ramsey’s golazo came from teammate Yaya Sanogo, who produced an incredible facial expression after watching the ball whizz into the Gala net.

Brace Bros! Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski posts pic with Aaron Ramsey after pair score 2 each v Galatasaray

Arsenal’s four goals at Galatasaray tonight were shared by two players, as Lukas Podolski and Aaron Ramsey bagged a brace each.

There was a bit of symmetry to the goals, as both braces featured a real golazo – Ramsey pinging one in from 35 yards with his weaker foot, and Poldi smashing on in like a rocket from close range.

It was yet another reminder from the German midfielder that he’s ready when Wenger needs him, and what he’s capable of when given a chance.

But will Wenger ever give him that proper chance – a run of games in the team, and not just an essentially meaningless end of group game?

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey on his Worldy v Galatasaray: ‘I prefer the Norwich goal!’ [Video]

Aaron Ramsey scored an absolute worldy for Arsenal tonight, pinging a drive into the top bin from 35 metres out – on his weaker left foot.

Rambo bagged himself a brace in the 4-1 win at Galatasaray, and in his post-match interview, he was asked what you would think was an obvious question:

‘Was that the best goal you ever scored?’

He’s scored a few good ones, but you would think that yes -surely that was his best.

But Ramsey wasn’t having it, saying that ‘it’s up there, but that he prefers the Norwich goal – an exquisite close-range volley into the top corner last May.

Arsenal boss Wenger post-Galatasaray: ‘I couldn’t believe Ramsey took shot on from there!’ [Video]

Aaron Ramsey scored an absolute worldy in Arsenal’s 4-1 win at Galatasaray tonight, a left-footed pinger from 30 metres out.

In his post-match interview, Arsene Wenger praised his young Welshman, but admitted that’s only in retrospect.

Because at the time, he says he couldn’t believe it when he saw Rambo taking the shot on from there.

Ramsey praised the Chilean’s never say die attitude.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey last season became a key player for the club.

Having signed for Arsene Wenger as a 17 year old, Aaron Ramsey has had his ups and downs.

Ramsey took Arsenal to the FA Cup with a stunning goalscoring season from midfield.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey names his Ultimate Team XI

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey appeared at the Apple Store in London on Thursday to have a chat with Alan Smith and answer questions from the crowd, at an EA Sports FIFA 15 Ultimate Team event.

Ramsey was open and honest in a Q&A section with many of his answers appearing on the always excellent Arsenal Reddit page.

Amongst the most interesting, Ramsey admitted that Lukas Podolski can go overboard with the practical jokes and sometimes annoys his Arsenal team mates.

Whilst Ramsey also said the best players he played with were Gareth Bale and Cesc Fabregas – the admission of the latter got him booed at the FIFA event!

Since it was a FIFA Ultimate Team event, Ramsey was forced to name his best XI – and had to include himself.

Ramsey’s Ultimate Team can be seen on the Tweet above.

The inclusion of Ashley Cole also produced boos from the crowd, whilst Ramsey described Gareth Bale as the “left-footed Ronaldo”.

Theo Walcott is Arsenal’s most injured player; Abou Diaby 2nd & Rosicky 3rd [Graphic]

Yesterday French media outlet L’Equipe did a piece on Arsene Wenger’s injury woes at Arsenal.

The club seem plagued by injury but will welcome back midfielder Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry in the coming weeks after they returned from long term injuries.

Using data from physioroom.com, L’Equipe have found that Theo Walcott is Arsenal’s most commonly injured player.

Surprisingly Abou Diaby is 2nd behind his teammate, with the Frenchman suffering more long-term injuries.

The 23 year old Aaron Ramsey is beginning to work his way up the list after a broken leg kept him out of action for almost a year.

Still only 25, Walcott has picked up 42 injuries during his 8 year stay at the club.
