Zlatan scores again!
To no one’s surprise, Zlatan Ibrahimovic put Manchester United 1-0 up at West Brom on Saturday.
After wins over Spurs and Crystal Palace, Manchester United came into a tough game at the Hawthorns with the feeling that Jose Mourinho’s side had turned the corner.
With five minutes gone, Manchester United put a great move together, Antonio Valencia played a long ball over the top for Jesse Lingard to run onto.
Lingard put in a delightful cross for Zlatan and Ibrahimovic just does not miss chances like this.
Zlatan is crushing English football
It was a classic counter from Manchester United. An excellent cross from the “dabberman” Lingard, Zlatan headed home his sixth goal in six games
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has now scored nine goals since the start of November (10 appearances), having scored only two goals in September & October (11 appearances).
The super Swedish striker has played over 700 club games and at the ripe old age of 35 has the nous and understanding to also push the rules his own way as well.
Did Zlatan foul Gareth McAuley in the build-up?
Only a few people online noticed a crafty move from Zlatan in the build up to Manchester United’s opener.
As Valencia’s long ball found Lingard, Zlatan clearly puts his arm on Gareth McAuley.
Now perhaps Zlatan felt McAuley was in his way?
From there, Zlatan goes the other way to McAuley and heads home.
See screenshots of Zlatan’s crafty move below.
McAuley muscled out again
It should also be pointed out that as good as Gareth McAuley has been this season for West Brom, he has been well beaten by two of the best strikers in the Premier League over recent games.
Diego Costa last Sunday at Stamford Bridge and Zlatan Ibrahimovic today.
No shame in that to be fair…
Nice little tug on McAuley from Ibrahimovic as he ran into the box, that just put him off. Cynical but that's Zlatan's experience.

A shove on McAuley… Cheeky, but that's Zlatan.
Otherwise known as a foul. Unless it's Zlatan or United. https://t.co/16J0P56gwb

@GNev2 notice Zlatan give a little tug on McAuley in the build up to get a yard? Genius!

How can you call that tug by Zlatan a bit of experience? It's cheating! You wouldn't be saying that if he dived would.

What's about Zlatan's little tug on defender before the cross. #experience

The little tug Zlatan has on the center half before making his run gets him that goal.

Zlatan with a little tug in the build up to give himself space, very smart from the veteran
