West Ham finally set to land forward target from Premier League rivals

Third time lucky

Having had numerous bids rejected for countless players, West Ham are finally set to land a big money signing this summer.

Following the loan capture of Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, the Hammers are expected to wrap up a deal for Stoke attacker Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian was the subject of two previous bids by West Ham, which were both rejected, but the two clubs have now agreed a fee of £24 million.

Arnautovic scored 6 goals in his 32 Premier League appearances for the Potters last season.

Forward options

West Ham shown interest in Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and, more recently, Bayer Leverkusen’s Javier Hernandez.

With Giroud prefering a move to Goodison Park, a move for former Manchester United striker Hernandez seems much more likely.

Although Leverkusen and West Ham are close to hammering out a deal, fans of the London club won’t be holding their breath after recent deals have broken down.
