Much like Dele Alli was signed last January and only joined Tottenham in the summer, it looks like Saido Berhaino will finally make his move to north London at the end of the season.
In the last two transfer windows, Spurs have been heavily linked with Berhaino, so much so that the player Tweeted about his failed transfer to White Hart Lane on the final day of the summer window.
On Sunday, David Hytner of The Observer reports that West Brom “have agreed in principle” that Berhaino can join Spurs in the summer.
This is a huge about turn for both clubs with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly angering West Brom’s Jeremy Peace.
But, the thaw in relations between West Brom and Spurs could be seen in the January transfer window when Alex Pritchard joined the Baggies on loan.
Hytner, a reliable journalist when it comes to transfer news, reports “that Peace and Levy will sit down at the end of the season to resolve the transfer in good faith.”
Stoke and Newcastle both tried to sign Berhaino in the January transfer window but it looks like he will get his chance in north London.
Berhaino has returned to the West Brom starting XI in recent weeks and has played alongside Harry Kane for England Under-21s.
