Here we go again…
Spanish paper Marca have released a fresh report on Tuesday afternoon claiming that German World Cup winner Sami Khedira is up for sale at Real Madrid.
Khedira, who has long been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea throughout the summer, is placed neared the Santiago Bernabeu exit door for contract negotiation and out-of-favour selection reasons.
Firstly, the midfielder has still yet to come to terms with the club over a new deal, with Khedira’s current deal expiring next summer. As such, the club would rather make money for the player now, rather than lose him for free in 12 months.
Secondly, the additions of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos in the Madrid midfield has meant that Khedira is no longer a first team starter at for Carlo Ancelotti, and despite the suggestion that the coach would rather keep the player, Marca believe Khedira could be a goner.
Noticeably, Khedira will watch the Spanish Super Cup from the stands.
Marca list Arsenal and Chelsea as potential suitors for Khedira, but whether the story is anything more than hot air is up for debate.
