Sam Allardyce & Sunderland
New Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce has already targetted his first signing at Selhurst Park, if the Express can be believed.
The tabloid claim that the former England manager is looking at Sunderland to sure up the Eagles defence.
Big Sam wants to sign Lamine Kone, 27, for 15 million pounds.
Should that happen, the Black Cats would be making an incredible profit on a player who they bought from Lorient for just 5 million pounds for last January, when Allardyce was in charge at the Stadium of Light.
Does the deal make sense?
With Palace looking to stop the short term rut, Kone doesn’t make much sense.
The defender is headed to the African Cup of Nations in January as he’s set to be part of the Ivory Coast squad.
Palace also seem to have a lot of persuading to do if Kone is to leave Sunderland, as the player is under a five year contract at the club.
