Daniel Sturridge transfer rumour
Liverpool fans are likely to come across a hard-to-believe transfer story on Wednesday, as rumours spread that Daniel Sturridge could leave Liverpool to join Arsenal.
The story has been promulgated by the likes of the Star, while the tale is given the impression of being substantial as it’s linked to Sky Sports.
However the rumour seems totally bogus.
The basis of the whispers is found in fresh odds from Sky Bet on Daniel Sturridge’s future. The Star has reported:
Arsenal are the favourites with the bookies to sign Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in January.
The Gunners are 9/1 to bring the England international to the Emirates before February 3 2017, according to Sky Bet.
A tough start to the season for Sturridge
Sturridge has struggled for minutes in the opening months of the season.
A mixture of injuries and Jurgen Klopp plumping for Roberto Firmino to play in attack have meant that Sturridge has only started three matches for the Reds this term.
It goes without saying, however, that there’s a big leap between Sturridge’s problems in breaking into Liverpool’s first team and the likelihood he’ll move to Arsenal anytime soon.
