Sky sources understand that the representatives of Jacob Murphy are set for talks with the club, after a bid of £8m from Newcastle was rejected last week.
The 22 year-old appears determined to play Premier League football next season and the player’s entourage are set to push through a move to The Magpies in a meeting scheduled for Thursday this week.
Sky claim that Newcastle will come back with an improved offer for Murphy, as Rafa Benitez looks to bolster his options for the coming season.
Crystal Palace, Southampton, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion have all reportedly shown interest in signing Murphy, and could look to rival the Tyneside club for the signature of Jacob Murphy.
Jacob Murphy was only recently tied down to a new long-term contract with Norwich City back in November, having signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
