Real Madrid & Arsenal
A rumour has been spread by Spanish paper AS this weekend which will make Arsenal fans smile from ear to ear.
Arsene Wenger is under incredible pressure at the Emirates Stadium following another horrible season, and Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Man City did little to alleviated the pressure on the Frenchman’s shoulders.
Yet, according to AS, Wenger could leave Arsenal and move to Real Madrid.
What’s the story?
According to AS journalist Javier Matallanas, if Los Blancos finished the season trophy-less, then president Florentino Perez is likely to sack Zinedine Zidane while Wenger has been earmarked as a possible replacement.
So how likely is that to happen? It feels incredibly remote.
Real, following a 3-0 win over Alaves on Sunday, have a two point lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
The reigning Champions League holders are also set to take on Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals.
