In the last few weeks, reports of Neymar’s world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain have gained traction.
The Ligue 1 side are said to be willing to fork out £222m to activate the Brazilian’s release clause at Barcelona, and the player himself is pushing for a move.
The proposed move could have implications for Liverpool, as Barcelona continue to chase Philippe Coutinho.
In the latest development, Neymar has had to cancel a promotional event in China, due to his upcoming transfer.

For the non-French speaking followers, the Goal and Eurosport journalist’s tweet translates to the following: A commercial operation of Neymar to Shanghai is cancelled. A Chinese company announced that “The player and his staff are involved in a transfer”.
And here is a link to that very announcement (in Chinese) which, translated, reads:
Dear users, we are sorry to announce that the Meetup event with Neymar scheduled for July 31 in Shanghai will be canceled due to Neymar and his team are currently working on a transfer, and cannot promise to be there in Shnaghai. Therefore we have canceled the event.
Because this event has been canceled, we are giving a full refund to everyone who has bought a ticket.
Once again we apologise for the cancellation of the event.
