The report, which originated from journalist Nabil Djellit, goes on to say that the Foxes are now looking at possible
Mahrez has also been linked with a move to Arsenal. The Algerian is seen as Arsene Wenger’s back-up choice to Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, although the Frenchman may now end up with neither.
Mahrez started in Leicester’s 4-3 defeat at the Emirates on the opening day of the Premier League season.
Next up for Leicester is newly-promoted Brighton. It’s unclear whether or not Mahrez will be involved.
