Morgan Schneiderlin farewell message

Morgan Schneiderlin posts farewell message to Man United fans after Everton move

Schneiderlin signs for Everton

French defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has signed for Everton.

Schneiderlin was a key player for Southampton as they emerged through the divisions but struggled for first team opportunities at Manchester United.

In his first season at United, Schneiderlin struggled to impress under Louis van Gaal.

And, after the arrival of Jose Mourinho, failed to make an impact at all on the Manchester United first team this season.

It always seemed inevitable that he would leave Manchester United in the January transfer window.

“I can’t wait to represent this great club”

Manchester United have received a fee of up to 24 million pounds, which is their fourth highest ever and is pretty good going even for a club the size of the Red Devils.

On arrival at Goodison Park,Schneiderlin said: “Everton is a big club in the history of English football. I can’t wait to represent this great club”.

The French midfielder has also taken to Instagram to thank Manchester United fans: “I would like first to thanks all the fans of Manchester United for their support throughout the 18 months I spend with you. It was very special, of course I wanted to do more for this football club but it didn’t happen for some reason that I respect. Secondly I wish the very best for the future to all the players and all the staff of @manchesterunited”.

Undoubtedly a classy message.
