Cesc Fabregas & Chelsea
Chelsea fans who track the news in the papers this week will no doubt be confused over the future of Cesc Fabregas.
Even before the season started, rumours were flying about that Fabregas could leave Stamford Bridge.
Links to Serie A have been bountiful, although it’s doubtful that the Italian sides have the money to fund such a deal.
Loan or staying put?
Earlier this week, The Times ran a story on their back page claiming that Cesc Fabregas is likely to leave Chelsea on loan in the January transfer window.
According to The Times, Cesc Fabregas almost joined AC Milan on loan on Transfer Deadline Day in August but it fell through due to a disagreement over who would pay what proportion of his wages.
On Wednesday, however, the Sun announce that Cesc is going nowhere. The red tell their readers the following:
The Spanish World Cup winner told pals he plans to stick around until the end of this season at least before making a decision on whether to stay or go.
With two years left on his Chelsea deal, worth almost £200k per week, he will not rush a decision.
