Perisic still wanted
Manchester United’s pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic is still not over.
The Sun are reporting that Jose Mourinho wants to sign the player from his former club before the transfer deadline.
Inter Milan have already issued a hands off warning to clubs chasing the 28-year-old, while manager Luciano Spalletti revealed that Perisic is “determined to stay” at Inter.
Inter are believed to be holding out for a fee of around £50m, having already rejected a bid in the region of £35 from Man United.
Man United transformation
The Red Devils have already brought in Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and young defender Victor Lindelof, but have so far failed to sign a wide player.
Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale had also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but it’s the Perisic rumours that won’t go away.
Inter Milan’s Serie A season gets underway on Sunday when they take on Fiorentina. It remains to be seen whether or not Perisic will take part.
Meanwhile, Manchester United travel to Wales to face Swansea, hoping to build on last weekend’s 4-0 win over West Ham.
