While Gazzzetta Dello Sport claim that Manchester United may have reached an agreement with Arturo Vidal for the Chilean to move to Old Trafford, over in Tuttosport the stance of Juventus to the potential transfer is given top billing.
The headline on the Italian tabloid on Wednesday screams “Vidal porta in faccia” – Vidal, the door slammed in his face.
Put another way, according to Tuttosport Juventus are refusing to sell Vidal to the Red Devils – a line which has been consistent all summer – however inside the paper there is a caveat.
Were Manchester United to offer the Bianconeri a fee in the region of 50 million euros, Tuttosport suggest that Juve may be forced to accept such a bid. So far, however, Man United’s approach has involved a deal in which Javier Hernandez could move to Turin as part of the package.
It’s worth remembering that Vidal has major knee problems, which some outlets have reported as being a stumbling block for United pursuing the transfer.
