A growing number of reports in the Italian press this evening claim that the agent of full-back Dani Alves has asked current club Juventus to release the player, ahead of a potential move to either Manchester City or Chelsea.
On the move
Despite having only arrived at the club last summer from Barcelona, rumours intensified over the weekend that Alves had requested to leave the Turin giants in the coming months.
Alves enjoyed a splendid debut campaign with the Bianconeri, racking up 6 goals and 6 assists in all competitions, but has seemingly set his heart on a new challenge, with the Premier League his most likely destination.
It was thought that Juve were holding out for a fee in the region of 5 million Euro for the Brazilian, as Alves has a year remaining on his contract with the club and remains a valuable contributor despite being 34 years of age.
However, the proposal of the Barcelona legend’s entourage to terminate his current deal is currently under consideration from the board of the Serie A giants, who’s relationship with Alves has soured dramatically in recent weeks.
