The Mirror on Sunday are sure to annoy plenty of Leicester fans, as it’s reported that Spurs are sniffing around the Premier League’s top scorer Jamie Vardy.
Vardy was on target for the Foxes on Saturday in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, as the English international striker showed off his oozing confidence with a terrific finish to punish an error from Brede Hangeland.
Vardy’s goal lifted the forward into elite company, as he’s now scored in seven straight Premier League matches. He joins the likes of Ruud van Nistelrooy Daniel Sturridge Ian Wright, Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry in achieving that milestone.
Turn back the clocks to last season, and Tottenham’s Harry Kane was enjoying the same type of headlines as Vardy is getting now. But what’s happened to Kane since?
The forward has only managed one league goal in nine games so far, but Tottenham now have a plan.
According to the Mirror, “Tottenham are considering a move for Leicester hot-shot Jamie Vardy when the transfer window opens in January”.
The red-top believe Vardy is available for £15 million, while the Foxes would obviously want to retain his services.
