Do Arsenal need defensive reinforcements?
Having brought in Petr Cech and with Gabriel Paulista signed from Villarreal last January, it is questionable whether the Gunners should be signing defenders in the coming weeks.
Arsenal are though apparently interested in two Italian defenders, according to widespread reports in the Italian media.
SKY Italia reports that in the last few hours Arsenal made a bid of 22 million euros for Daniele #Rugani but Juventus rejected the bid.

As can be seen above, Arsenal have made a 22 million euro offer for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.
The 20-year-old impressed on loan at Empoli last season and was part of Italy’s Under-21 squad at the recent European Championships in the Czech Republic.
In addition, Gazzetta dello Sport reveal on Thursday that Arsenal have also inquired about Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli.
Also 20, Romagnoli is being heavily linked to AC Milan and Roma have slapped a 30 million euro fee on the Italy Under-21 defender.
Romagnoli spent last season in loan at Sampdoria. Gazzetta also claim that Arsenal have asked Roma about Greek defender Konstantinos Manolas.
Its not entirely clear whether these reports are simply to put two young defenders in the shop window. But, Rugani and Romagnoli certainly fit the type of player that Arsene Wenger brings in to Arsenal.
