Alvaro Morata & Man United
After all the talk, all the speculation, rumours are flying on Tuesday morning that Manchester United are on the verge of signing Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The sticking point in the deal has been the transfer fee, with reports surfacing that the two clubs had a 20 million euro shortfall in their evaluation of the 26-year-old Spanish international striker.
But, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser on Tuesday, Real and Man United appear close to agreeing a fee.
What’s the story?
It’s been reported that Man United and Real Madrid will close Alvaro Morata’s transfer for 75-80 million euros either today or tomorrow.
As soon as Real get the money in their bank account, Los Blancos are tipped to up their search for a new number 9.
The player at the top of their wish list is AS Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.
Busy summer at Old Trafford
Jose Mourinho has been busy in the transfer market in recent days.
The Red Devils are poised to announce the signing of Benfica defender Victor Lindelof imminently, while reports are also doing the rounds that Fabinho could leave Monaco to join Man United this summer too.
