Will Alexis & Ozil sign new Arsenal contracts?
Arsenal’s season is in danger of being dominated by the contract saga that is surrounding two Gunners Galacticos: Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
On Tuesday night, Arsenal’s draw at Bournemouth was very much analysed through the prism of how happy Alexis Sanchez currently looks.
The Chilean showed his frustration throughout the encounter and then left the pitch in a huff after the game.
Further reports this week have suggested that Sanchez did not speak to his team mates after the Bournemouth draw and that he is not happy with his team mates.
Sanchez is closer than Ozil
For a long time now, it was long considered that Mesut Ozil was more likely to stay at Arsenal. He has bought a new house in London and in truth, there would likely be less suitors for the German than the Chilean.
Kike Marin, who works for Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, has revealed that in fact Sanchez is closer to signing a new deal than Ozil.
Currently the German is holding up contract negotiations as he is not currently happy with the wages on offer.
This is very much in line with what Arsene Wenger said on BeIN Sports and surely makes it likely that both Arsenal stars will sign on.
Marin has often scooped other media outlets with Arsenal news, for example he was first to report Hector Bellerin was close to a new deal with the Gunners.
