According to a growing number of reports across both England and Turkey this afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move for Besiktas star Cenk Tosun.
Tosun, a 26-year-old Turkish international striker, enjoyed a breakout campaign at the Vodafone Arena last season, racking up 27 goals in all competitions, including 20 goals and 5 assists in 29 league starts.
The versatile Eintracht Frankfurt youth product can play either as the focal point of his side’s attack, or on either wing, and has also notched 6 goals in 20 appearances for Turkey.
White Hart Lane bound?
And, as per reports emanating from Tosun’s home country, Tottenham are now ready to launch a January bid for the Besiktas star, with an offer of around 20 million Euro said to be in the offing.
Mauricio Pochettino is rumoured to be a huge fan of the talents of Tosun, with the Argentinian tactician eager to add to his attacking options upon the opening of the winter transfer market in the new year.
Crystal Palace and Newcastle United were also linked with moves for Tosun during the summer, though his impressive form to begin the current campaign has seemingly peaked the interest of Spurs, who are now seen as the clear front-runners for his signature.
