Bournemouth v Southampton
Sunday’s match at the Vitality Stadium got off to a flying start with goals at both ends.
The Cherries took the lead in the sixth minute following a set play.
Arsenal loanne Jack Wilshere played the telling ball into the box, where Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake headed home for Eddie Howe’s men.
But Southampton levelled the match soon as with a fine goal in the 14th minute.
A well-worked attacked eventually arrived to the feet of Ryan Bertrand down the left hand side. He cut into the box, before finding the far bottom corner of the net.
The Chelsea connection
While Nathan Ake is still a Chelsea player, Ryan Bertrand is a former Blues man too.
Indeed, the Saints left back won the Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge.
For the record, Bournemouth take on Chelsea next weekend in the league, however Ake is not available for selection as per the terms of his loan deal.
