Sturridge gives injury update following training camp exit

Daniel Sturridge has confirmed that his exit from a Liverpool training camp was due to a potentially contagious virus and is not serious.

The Englishman was sent home from the camp in the week and questions were raised over what had happened.

Sturridge has now revealed that it was a ‘little virus’, and was sent home to avoid the illness spreading in the squad.

The player also revealed that he will join up with the squad when they return, easing Liverpudlian worries.

lil virus ting. Nothing crazy I’ll be training when the boys gets back. Contagious ting. No risk…. ✌
