Former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard has today taken to social media to sing the praises of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Gunners hero

Henry, who lined out for the likes of Juventus, Arsenal and Barcelona over the course of his career, is most fondly remembered for his time spent in England, where the French striker led the line for the Gunners under Arsene Wenger for 8 incredible seasons. (He also returned for a brief loan spell in 2012).

The Monaco youth product netted a total of 228 goals for Arsenal, including 174 in the Premier League, as he cemented himself as arguably the greatest player in the history of the North London club.

And today, on the former striker’s 39th birthday, another Premier League legend and one-time rival of Henry has taken to social media to pay tribute to the Frenchman in brilliant fashion.

Posting on Instagram, Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard wished his long-time foe a happy birthday, claiming that Henry would be worth ‘200 million on today’s market all day long.’
