Marina Granovskaia v Antonio Conte
Days before Chelsea take on Everton on Sunday at Stamford Bridge, rumours are flying about that Antonio Conte may leave the champions.
Some have been suggesting that Conte could quit Chelsea this summer as the Italian has struggled to make signings.
But, in a major twist on Wednesday, German daily Bild suggested Chelsea could be fed up with Conte.
In fact, it’s claimed that Chelsea have already lined up former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel to replace Conte at Stamford Bridge.
A key protagonist in the story is Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, who appears to be setting up Conte’s departure and Tuchel’s entry to the Blues.
Doubts over Tuchel
Can the Tuchel to Chelsea story be believed?
While the coach ended his tenure at BVB winning the German Cup, many are questioning whether he’s really a likely candidate to replace Conte.
Tuchel never came close to closing the gap on Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, while he also fell out with key BVB employees.
Tuchel reportedly lost support from sporting director Michael Zorc and chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke as cracks opened up.
As is that wasn’t enough, reports also circled that Borussia Dortmund’s players also lost faith in Tuchel.
Granovskaia slammed by Chelsea fans
Granovskaia is one of the most powerful women in the Premier League, being a close adviser to Roman Abramovich, as well as being a club director at Stamford Bridge.
However, if you turn to social media for reaction to the Conte, Tuchel, Chelsea story, it’s sad to see how much abuse Granovskaia is getting.
Is it simply because she’s a woman in football?

As part of the whole 'Let's make Granovskaia the star. Did we mention she's female?' stuff, it's stated as her decision. Which may be odd.

Marina Granovskaia should rather resign. https://t.co/WhXhhZqWsp

Who the f**k is Marina Granovskaia? Why is she involved with #CFC? I'm reading her "Transfer philosophy" for us. Makes literally NO sense.
