Spurs old boys back at White Hart Lane
When Hull City travelled to White Hart Lane on Wednesday, there were a few Tottenham old boys included in the sides team sheet for the game.
Former Spurs trio Michael Dawson, Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone were all included in Hull City’s starting 11 line-up whilst there was also space for ex-Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason, on the bench.
With this being said, it looked as if it could be one of those nights where the outcasts get revenge against their former team and pull off a remarkable result.
However, that wasn’t the case as Hull City were spanked 3-0 away from home by Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Ryan Mason thanks reception from Spurs fans
Having said that, the one positive that the former Spurs players can take from the game was the reception they received.
It seemed like the North-London club were very respectful to their former players during the game and Ryan Mason took to Twitter to thank them for just that.
He stated that the reception from the Tottenham fans meant a lot to both him and his family and that Spurs will always have a place in his heart.
See Ryan Mason’s tweet below:
