Gent v Spurs
Just the sight of ‘Gent v Spurs’ on paper is enough to make you bristle with boredom, and it’s fair to say that the Europa League round of 32 tie in Belgium tonight hasn’t set the world alight.
After the highs of the Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday night, it’s always hard to adjust to the decidedly lower level fare on offer in the Europa League, Europe’s 2nd tier competition.
The involvement of Spurs and Manchester United at least generates fresh interest in the competition at this stage, but in truth this tournament won’t really burst into life until the semi-final stages.
So for now, we have to entertain ourselves as we can.
And if you’ve been watching Gent v Spurs, you’ll know that that requires some real creativity.
So when Thomas Foquet’s name appeared on the screen and was subsequently pronounced by the commentator, viewers had some childish chuckles at the expletive-sounding name.
Oh Foket this is poor

The most exciting thing about this match is when Foket is on the ball. We're on the commentator's third pronunciation. #COYS
