Origi scores in derby
Divock Origi has had a bit of a mixed time of it at Liverpool.
The Belgian striker’s progress has been hampered by injuries, in fact Reds fans will be hoping he doesn’t become the next Daniel Sturridge.
Origi had a great finish to last season, but then saw his chances curtailed by an injury which would rule him out of Belgium’s Euro 2016.
And with Roberto Firmino, Coutinho and Sadio Mane now leading Liverpool’s attack, Origi must bide his time and wait for his chance to prove his worth.
He did that in the derby at the weekend, springing from the bench to score Liverpool’s 3rd against Everton, taking his haul to 10 from 42 league appearances.
Origi chant to Whigfield’s Saturday Night
Despite his less than spectacular goals ratio, Origi has become a bit of a hit with Reds fans, who’ve now coined a new song for him, to the tune of Whigfield’s 90s classic ‘Saturday Night.’
And the Belgian himself is clearly a fan, as he tweeted his approval after being sent a video clip of the new chant.
