Giroud to the rescue again!
Much maligned at Arsenal, Olivier Giroud is turning into a late goal scoring machine for the Gunners.
On Tuesday night, Arsenal fans laid into Giroud despite the fact the Frenchman scored the equaliser at Bournemouth and also set up two goals in the comeback.
Once again, there was despair when the French striker was named captain for the FA Cup match at Preston on Saturday.
And, once again, Giroud popped up with a late winner for Arsenal.
Preston 1 – Arsenal 2
Callum Robinson had given Preston the lead on 7 minutes. Arsenal were poor for the rest of the first half but managed to reach half-time only 1-0 down.
Then came the Gunners second half fightback. Aaron Ramsey made it 1-1 just after the break and Olivier Giroud scored another late goal to win the match, on 89 minutes, from a delicious Lucas Perez assist.
Arsenal have now progressed past the FA Cup 3rd round in 21 successive seasons. And, even some of their fans are praising Olivier Giroud!

Giroud missed a trick not performing the scorpion celebration abt 73 times there. Big comeback again though! Perez was brilliant all day.
