Iwobi celebrates what he thought was his goal

“I Thought I Scored”

Alex Iwobi had a terrific game for Arsenal on Saturday in the 4-1 win at Hull.

The nephew of Jay Jay Okocha is going from strength to strength at Arsenal and adds youthful exuberance to a Gunners attack which is full of experience.

In the end, Iwobi was credited with two assists at Hull but it could easily have been a goal and assist for the Gunners attacker.

Whilst Iwobi’s second assist was a brilliant back heel for Theo Walcott, his first was a clear shot on goal that hit Alexis Sanchez on the way in.

Arguably, Hull goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic would have saved Iwobi’s original shot had Sanchez not saved the ball but we will never know.

On Instagram after the game, Iwobi posted three pictures to celebrate the Arsenal win.

And, on the second, Iwobi admitted that he thought he had scored what would have been his first Premier League goal of the season.
