Manchester United are back!
Manchester United fans must be waking up on Sunday morning feeling rather good about their prospects for the 2016/2017 season.
Comfortable wins over Bournemouth and Southampton suggested Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side will be a force again this season.
But, the Hull game on Saturday night felt like a throwback to Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United of the mid-90s.
United steamrollered Hull for long periods but only grabbed their winner via the impressive Marcus Rashford on 92 minutes played.
Certainly, for fans of other teams, the late Rashford goal must have been difficult to swallow.

You could also feel the delight from the Manchester United squad on social media after the game.
For example, Luke Shaw Tweeted: “Nights like tonight was why I worked so hard to recover as quick as I have so I can enjoy these moments with the team”.
Intriguingly, 12 of the 14 Manchester United players that appeared at Hull took to Instagram on Saturday night.
All 12 posts can be seen below, and you can feel their excitement at the late win and what it could mean for the season ahead.
Intriguingly, two players did not post on Instagram: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial.
Why did Zlatan & Martial not post?
First off, it needs to be pointed out that a failiure to post on Instagram could be remedied at any time and it would be no surprise to see both Zlatan and Martial describe the win on the social media sharing site at some point on Sunday.
But, here are a couple of theories:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a serial winner. Whilst he is delighted at winning the game at Hull, the super Swedish striker uses his Instagram page, followed by close to 19 million, for charity work and trophies.
This is a clear signal from Zlatan that nothing less than the Premier League title will do and surely will be noticed by his younger Manchester United team mates.
Martial’s lack of a post could well be down to the fact that he has not started the season in great form, and is still recovering from a disappointing Euro 2016 where he was dropped from the France first team.
The former Monaco man will surely come good this season, which is another reason to believe United will finish the campaign as champions.
