Neymar Jr’s former homeland club Santos FC will receive a hefty €9million fee after the Brazilian joined Paris Saint Germain in a €222m deal.
Though it isn’t very much considering the enormous fee involved in the transfer, €9m is a hefty amount for a Brazilian club and it could go a long way.
It has been confirmed by Neymar’s supposed agent Wagner Ribeiro who revealed the fee that the player will have earned Santos.
Neymar began his professional career at Santos in 2009 and made over 100 appearances until his big money move to the Camp Nou.
The Brazilian sensation joined Barcelona in what was an incredible €57m deal at the time.
The then 21-year-old had the world on his shoulders and massive expectation but there is no doubt that he lived up to the hype.
Now, the forward is unintentionally thanking his homeland side with a pretty decent piece of funds.
