Club vs country
The war of words between Republic of Ireland head coach Martin O’Neill and Everton manager Ronald Koeman continued over night.
In the statement, O’Neill referred to the Dutchman as the “master tactician of the blame game”.
Koeman took to Twitter to respond to that jibe, tweeting the following:
James McCarthy began his pre-season three and a half weeks after Ireland were knocked out of the Euros. From the master tactician

While Koeman scored a few points against O’Neill for the tweet, some were confused by its timing.
The Toffees have their biggest match of the season on early on Saturday afternoon many feel that Koeman should’ve been concentrating solely on that.
Others are just enjoying the madness.
