For the second time in as many rounds, Barcelona were humiliated away from home in the first leg of their Champions League tie.
Luis Enrique’s side suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the Juventus Stadium, conceding goals from Paulo Dybala (2) and Giorgio Chiellini.
One of the Juventus players was left with conflicting feelings during and after the match.
Former Barcelona star Dani Alves, who spent eight seasons at the Nou Camp, faced his old teammates for the first time since his summer move to Turin.
“It’s a strange feeling,” Alves told Globoesport.
The right-back explained why he did not celebrate one of the goals. “The joy of my teammates is the same as mine, but I also feel the sadeness of my former teammates. I preferred to keep my happiness to myself.”
It was a momentus night for the Old Lady, who now have one foot in the semi-finals.
