Neymar is blitzing Ligue 1
Having spent 222 million euros on Neymar, PSG could legitimately have expected incredible performances every game.
So far, the Brazilian superstar is producing goals, assists and viral clips of stunning skill.
The haters are already pointing out that Neymar’s stunning start has come against Guingamp and Toulouse.
Nevertheless, there is a feeling that we are seeing Neymar of Santos – a player of epic skill and technique.
Rather than the Neymar of Barcelona – who was often more of a team player and of course “in the shadow of Leo Messi”.
Neymar’s sensational display v Toulouse
Neymar played his first game for PSG last Sunday at Guingamp.
The Brazilian superstar notched a goal and assist which was tame in comparison to how he would play against Toulouse.
On Sunday night, Neymar wowed the Parc des Princes with a display that was simply awesome.
Neymar scored two and provided two assists as PSG ran out 6-2 winners.
It wasn’t just the goals and assists though, Neymar was also in the mood to pull off rainbow flicks and stunning turns.
Did Neymar score a Puskas Award contender?
Neymar’s final piece of action on the night was a goal where he appeared to bamboozle the whole Toulouse defence.
Some have already suggested that Neymar could win another Puskas Award for this goal.
Neymar has previously won the Puskas Award, in 2011, for a famous goal for Santos against Flamengo.
Whilst the final goal against Toulouse was good, it was arguably let down a little by some pretty shocking defending.
Ironically, the best goal of PSG’s 6-2 win could well have been scored by Layvin Kurzawa, who produced a stunning bicycle kick from a Neymar corner.
