Newcastle midfielder banished from first team and forced to train alone

Trouble in paradise

Newcastle midfielder Jack Colback banished from the first team and forced to train alone on Friday morning as club look to sell the 27-year-old.

The former Sunderland midfielder has seemingly played his final game for the club after clashing with Rafa Benitez.

Colback is said to have refused to train with the first team earlier this week and after a player was injured, refused to step in as a replacement in training.

That angered boss Benitez who has now forced the player to train on his own while they attempt to find a buyer.

That may be difficult according to the Mail who claim that his £40,000-a-week wages are putting off potential buyers.

It is also certain that the player will not be included in the first Premier League squad of the season against Tottenham at home.

Whether Colback will get his move this summer is yet to be seen with a deal seemingly going to be difficult due to those wage demands.

That could leave the player with no option but to try and reintegrate himself back into the squad ahead of the clubs first season back in the Premier League.

Rafa Benitez will also need every player at his disposal if the club are to solidify their top flight status.

Injury blow

Newcastle have already suffered a big blow ahead of their game against Tottenham on Saturday.

The club are set to be without one of their star players during the big tie back in the big time.

That player could well prove the difference between a win or a loss and no doubt Rafa Benitez will be racking his brain on who to replace him with.
